Special industrial fabric is a branch of industrial fabric, and there are differences between the two in terms of performance, production process, application areas, and price. Specifically, as follows:
Performance characteristics: Industrial fabrics have general physical and mechanical properties, such as certain strength, wear resistance, breathability, etc., which can meet ordinary industrial needs. For example, non-woven fabrics have good breathability and filtration properties, and rubber fabrics have waterproof and wear-resistant characteristics. Special industrial fabrics have special properties, such as high silicon oxide fabrics that can be used for a long time at 1000 ℃, with excellent electrical insulation and chemical stability; High temperature anti sticking cloth can be used between -196 ℃ and 300 ℃, and is not easily adhered to any substance, with a low coefficient of friction.
Production process: The production process of industrial fabrics is relatively conventional, such as non-woven fabrics being made into fiber mesh structures through mechanical, chemical, or thermal bonding methods. Special industrial fabrics often require special processes and technologies, involving special treatment of raw materials or the addition of special additives, making production difficult. For example, some anti-static special industrial fabrics require the addition of anti-static agents or the use of special textile processes in the production process to give the fabric anti-static properties.
Application areas: Industrial fabrics are commonly used in industrial filtration, protective clothing, packaging materials, road construction, and other common industrial fields. Special industrial fabrics are mainly used in occasions with special requirements, such as aerospace, electronic semiconductors, chemical high-risk environments, military and other fields. Electronic fabrics are used for PCB manufacturing, while camouflage special fabrics are used for military camouflage.
Price level: Industrial fabrics have simple production processes, common raw materials, and usually have lower prices. Special industrial fabrics are generally expensive due to their unique raw materials, complex production processes, and high performance requirements. For example, high-performance carbon fiber fabrics are much more expensive than ordinary industrial fiberglass fabrics.
