At the first China Industrial Textile Industry Science and Technology Conference in 2023, experts pointed out that industrial textiles have been widely used in medical, aerospace, environmental protection and other fields, becoming an important component of the new materials industry.

1. Breakthrough in flash evaporation nonwoven fabric

Flash evaporation nonwoven fabric is recommended by the World Health Organization as the preferred choice for virus protection materials due to its ultra-fine fiber structure that combines waterproof, breathable, and high barrier properties. Xiamen Dangsheng New Materials Company achieved a breakthrough in the localization of this technology in 2019, with a production capacity of 3000 tons by 2022 and an expected increase to 12000 tons by 2025, completely eliminating import dependence. This material has shown outstanding performance in Ebola protective clothing and medical sterilization packaging, becoming one of the core technologies in the high-end protection field.

2. Innovative application of three-dimensional weaving technology

The three-dimensional weaving technology developed by the Donghua University team uses carbon fiber composite materials to manufacture high-strength structural components such as oilfield drill pipes, new energy vehicle hydrogen storage tanks, and large aircraft parts. This technology can adapt to complex surface design, has superior mechanical performance, and promotes the transformation of textile technology from "flexibility" to "structural functional integration".

3. The direction of intelligent and green development

In 2022, the total amount of fiber processing in the industry reached 19.6 million tons, and the production of non-woven fabrics was 8.35 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%. The focus of enterprise investment has shifted towards high-speed spinning and melting production lines, upgrading of intelligent equipment, and green process transformation. 66.2% of sample enterprises plan to increase investment in intelligence and environmental protection in 2023.
