Polypropylene filter cloth:
It has good acid and alkali resistance, can be used in a high temperature environment, and has high filtration efficiency.
It has good heat resistance, abrasion resistance and tensile resistance, and is insoluble in organic solvents.
The operating temperature can reach 90°C.
Nylon filter cloth (nylon):
High strength, good abrasion resistance, excellent alkali resistance, but slightly poor acid resistance.
The elongation and elasticity are very good, and the service temperature can reach 100°C.
In case of concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid, it will be dissolved by chemical reaction, and it is easy to be oxidized by oxidants, and the oxidation rate is very fast at high temperature or high concentration of oxidants.
Vinylon filter cloth:
Good alkali resistance and strong water absorption.
In case of concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated hydrochloric acid, it is swelling or decomposed, insoluble in animal and vegetable oils and mineral oils, and pyridine and phenol are swelling or decomposed in case of heat, and the use temperature can reach 100 °C.
Cotton filter cloth:
It is breathable and the price is relatively low.
The strength and acid and alkali resistance are average, and the heat resistance, wear resistance and tensile strength are good.
The fiber is short, the swelling degree is good when wetting, and the performance of retaining particles is good, but it is easy to spoil and mildew, and the service temperature does not exceed 100 °C.
Non-woven filter fabric:
It is made from randomly arranged fibers reinforced mechanically, hot-tack, or chemically with good filtration performance and permeability.
The tensile strength and abrasion resistance are worse than those of the filter cloth woven by the same fiber, but the pores are larger, the filtration mechanism is close to deep filtration, and the retention effect of particles is good.
2. Physical characteristics
High strength: Industrial filter cloths typically have high tensile strength and abrasion resistance, and are able to withstand large filtration pressures and mechanical wear.
Good air permeability: ensure the smooth flow of gas or liquid during the filtration process, and improve the filtration efficiency.
Dimensional stability: In harsh environments such as high temperature, high pressure or chemical corrosion, industrial filter cloth can maintain dimensional stability and is not easy to deform or break.
3. Chemical characteristics
Acid and alkali resistance: According to different materials, industrial filter cloth can withstand a certain range of acid and alkali corrosion to ensure stable operation in acid and alkali environment.
Solvent resistance: Some industrial filter cloths (such as polypropylene filter cloths) are insoluble in organic solvents, and are suitable for the filtration of solvents, paints, fuels and other substances.
