Airbag cushion cloth

Airbag cushion cloth is an auxiliary cushion cloth used in the production of safety airbag cloth. But its function is not just to assist. During the production process, there are strict requirements for the physical properties of airbag pads. It needs to have stiffness to maintain the stability of shape and structure. At the same time, its dynamic and static permeability, heat resistance, toughness, dimensional stability, tear strength, aging resistance and folding resistance must meet certain standards. These characteristics directly affect the working effect and durability of airbags.

In the production process, the manufacturing of airbag pads faces numerous challenges. Due to the excessive length of the roll, there is a high requirement for the stability of the production equipment. Any slight fluctuation may lead to a decrease in product performance and even generate waste. Therefore, manufacturers need to have a high level of professional knowledge and technology to ensure that each roll of airbag cushion cloth can meet high-quality standards.

The process of manufacturing airbag pads is not simple. Firstly, the raw silk is produced into raw fabric. Then, a refining agent is added to the raw fabric, and after the refining process, the unqualified raw fabric waste is picked out. Next, we will enter the thermal fixation stage, during which silicone gel needs to be added to process the raw fabric into a non coated fabric. Then, the uncoated fabric is coated with silicone together with the uncoated fabric. Finally, after heat treatment and stabilization, the final airbag cushion cloth (coated fabric) is formed.
